In fact you can create your own peer group in your neighborhood or even in your local PTA or at work. Any way you can get a group together to share motivation will help you out the most in the end. Having a workout partner each day that will force you to stay on track will get you to your goals. Essentially you need to be accountable to someone. Perhaps you could make this a family thing? Does your whole family need to lose some weight? Then if you did this together you will not only grow closer to each other but get into better health as well.
Of course losing weight involves having a great diet as well. If you do not maintain your diet any exercise you do is going to be counteracted by the bad foods you put into your mouth. Again this is where transforming the whole family would be a good idea. Replacing bad habits with good habits is really the best way here. To do this the most effective way I would recommend purging any bad foods you has in your house right away. As well make sure you do not re-buy these bad foods again. By surrounding yourself only with good wholesome nutritious foods you will gain more health and vitality and lose weight as a result.
